Positive: Quiet location with a beautiful view from the dining room and some of the rooms (not ours), ample parking behind the hotel, comfortable bed and large bathroom. Free wifi provided was excellent, with very high speeds - which made for uninterrupted on-line meetings and calls.
Negative: No desk in the room or more-or-less anywhere inside the hotel and no comfortable chairs in the room on which to sit to do the work I had to do. Admittedly the hotel is oriented towards leisure and gastronomy rather than business. Breakfast was OK - but arriving a bit late meant there was more-or-less nothing left.
Summary: Beautiful location - nice view if you book a room with one, nice restaurant in a very quiet location

Positive: Hotel Troense was a lovely place to stay while visiting friends nearby. The room was wonderful with a private garden in the back with seating for that late afternoon drink in the shade. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was mostly continental and plentiful. Seating was lovely with a view to the harbour. The whole area was tidy and clean. The parking behind the hotel accessible and safe. Dark blinds for those light nights - most other places we stayed in Denmark did not consider the light at night. This meant we had a good night's sleep.
Negative: No key lock safe in the room - but maybe not necessary. We felt very safe here.
Summary: Troense is a lovely place to visit and relax.

Positive: Beautiful location facing the water, walkable to pier, Troense and the castle. Excellent restaurant and breakfast buffet
Negative: The restaurant was understaffed, though Daniela did a fantastic job to make up for that.
Summary: Lovely peaceful setting on the water with easy access to the ferry ride around the nearby islands.
